THE RIVER

With weather like this, southwest France turns out to be paradise. I went for a walk along the river this afternoon and you can see all the activities happening much earlier this year. The local house boat company is getting their fleet ready for what could be a very long season.

We watched a private house boat make her way through the locks of Jarnac, always a spectacle. Enjoy the pictures

Beautiful photos for a glorious day. 28 degrees C is hot for the season but maybe not for your region. I know that Toulouse is always hotter than other areas.

Lucky you. What a wonderful walk.
I'm envious. Dry, dry here in
Texas.

Compared to last year's spring, it's hot here, Nadege.
But we don't mind....

Sorry to hear that Sheila, hope the weather turns for you soon

Always happy to see more pictures of waterways. Do you see many people rowing there, as in sculling? Little sailing dinghies would be fun, too.

No dinghies or other sailing activity at all here.
But some leisure kayaking we have seen.

If you like rivers, you will like the one I am at right now...
