RENOVATE IN FRANCE

No lunch today. We drove all the way from Troyers to Jarnac without stopping in less than 5 hours. We just wanted to see how far the renovations got.

The good news, it looks really good, most plans and changes got executed, those which were not, can still be implemented or improved.
The kitchen had the most room for improvement and by removing that toilet and install the water heater in the next room, the kitchen has much more space now.
Victoria is going to keep it simple and we can't wait to get going with the paint and cabinets.

Bathrooms in an old house are always a challenge. The plumber laid out a great floor plan, only to be nixed by the GC after the insulation took up too much width in one area. Much tighter fit, but we will make it work.
A former glass block window is now replaced with a real one that actually opens up as well.

Isabella may just turn out the bigger winner in these renovations, her bath room and closet are just perfect, except for the window by the toilet, but we will fix that easy with some privacy film.....

Still lots to do, definitely behind schedule, but overall a great progress. Stay tuned for more updates.
